The Brief

Create a home office, home schooling den by replacing an area previously occupied by a 2’ x 3 wood store.

The Project

Part of the brief was to be environmentally friendly and at the same time save on client costs. This was to be achieved by repurposing and significantly adjusting a second hand 12’ x 10’ garden shed.

Retrospective

To make any such structure useable through our seasons, the requirements and issues are often related to keeping elements out and heat in! This was achieved by replacing Perspex windows with hardwood frames, double glazing and installing insulation 360 degrees. Particularly pleased with lighting, heating and the flooring. We spent considerable time sourcing products to create a Scandinavian white wash effect using reclaimed pine flooring.
